Founding Era · 1970–1989
The Beginning
Mr. J. R. Singal (Chairman) started Eastman Rubber Industries by setting up a manufacturing plant in Ludhiana, Punjab — laying the cornerstone of what would become a pan-India industrial group.
First Export Shipment
Eastman ships its first batch of components and accessories overseas, marking its entry into global markets and signalling a bold new ambition for the young company.
Eastman Industries Ltd. Founded
Eastman Industries Limited is set up as a corporate entity, bringing a more professional structure and governance framework to the rapidly expanding business.
Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd. Incorporated
Launched to manufacture hand tools and forgings for European markets — supplying leading OEMs including Honda, TAFE, Tata Motors, Kirloskar, Mahindra & Mahindra, New Holland (Ford), and L&T.

Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. Incorporated
Eastman Auto & Power Limited is launched to manufacture batteries and solar products — a visionary diversification into the energy sector that would define the group's future.
First Battery Manufacturing Facility Commissioned
Established and commissioned the first dedicated manufacturing facility for Conventional Tubular Batteries at Solan Unit 1 — a landmark investment in production capability.
Second Battery Manufacturing Facility Commissioned
